    Dental Fillings in Dubai

Only a dentist can detect whether you have a cavity that needs to be filled. During your checkup, we will use a small mirror and an intra-oral camera to examine each tooth. Anything that looks abnormal will need to be checked closely. We may need to take an X-ray to determine the extent and exact location of the cavity and decay.

If has been determined by your dentist that a filling is needed to repair a cavity, there are a variety of different materials that can be used for filling teeth. Based on your medical history, location of the cavity, esthetic needs, cost, and your preference, we will decide which option is the best for you. These options include direct composite bonding, gold or ceramic inlays/onlays created in our dental laboratory, using CAD/CAM equipment.

The average life of a filling is about 7-12 years. It is important to visit your dentist regularly so that your fillings can be examined. Between dental check-ups it is also important to maintain good oral hygiene to prevent decay from occurring under the filling. If you have many fillings or very large fillings, your dentist may prescribe a fluoride gel you can use at home. You can also use rinses that lower the acid level of your mouth.  A lower acid level reduces decay-causing bacteria.  This can lead to fewer cavities and dental fillings in the future

    General Dentistry

Here we have a patient that is unsatisfied with her smile. Although she is in her fifties and isn’t suffering from any pain but she wants to achieve a more youthful smile. She has a gummy smile that means she showed the gums while smiling hence the asymmetry on gum line is visible. In order to achieve aesthetically acceptable smile the right and left side of gums and teeth must be at the same level , also we are able to correct the cross bite on the left side with the help of ceramic crowns . The correct bite is when the upper teeth come over the lower teeth And not the other way around as is in this case on the left side. We also choose a whiter color for a more natural look.

In this case we replaced the old crowns and bridges and added posterior crowns . Patient is very happy with her new smile.
